To strengthen community based programmes by providing community based activists with the opportunity to practice and improve their learned skills in and through the delivery of HIV and AIDS training workshops in their own communities

To assist vulnerable groups, particularly young people, to assess the impact of HIV on their lives so that they are able to make informed decisions about prevention choices

To work with non profit organisations in South Africa to better understand, and develop appropriate responses to, the impack of HIV and AIDS on the civil society workplace

To support civil society organisations in their response to HIV and AIDS - to strengthen institutional capacity, programme development and delivery.

To contribute towards building strong community leadership.
