Vision

We work towards building a trusting, respectful and responsible society of people with healthy minds, bodies and souls who live comfortable lives - a society within which people are able to exercise their constitutional rights and choices.

Mission

Project Empower works with individuals, groups and organisations to develop, implement and support programmes for people affected by HIV and AIDS that:

  • confront unequal power relations
  • balance relations that exist between men and women
  • build individual and organisational capacity through training, information, increasing access to resources and building and supporting networks

We work towards building positive relationships so that people can make their own choices about their lives and live with these choices

Goals
  • To support civil society organisations in their response to HIV and AIDS – to strengthen institutional capacity, programme development and delivery
  • To contribute towards building strong community leadership
  • To promote effective HIV and AIDS responses that are based on local needs and led by local people
